Nothing could
Wake her
From her
Despair,
So deep,
It drained her,
It bleached all life
From her.
Mother Gaia,
The Gods,
Their Angels
All tried
To bring
Her
Joy.
An Angel brings
A gift,
A pearl necklace,
Butterflies,
In their millions,
Flutter past her,
The Tree of Life
Blossoms with
Bold alien flowers,
A rose in her face,
Nothing.
She stood waiting
For Death
To claim her,
Love had left her.
